We are looking for an experienced UX researcher with strong communication and people skills. Strong candidates will demonstrate a rigorous approach to UX research methods as well as have experience shaping and informing product backlogs.
In particular, we value researchers with experience in standard generative and evaluative UX research methods, that strive to seek insights and translate them into actionable and impactful solutions for our business.
While strong candidates will have experience working end-to-end (early user needs research to post-ship UX research), we are looking for researchers with strong generative research skills, plus demonstrated capability in driving insights into actionable, measurable product UX and business goals.
You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to push the boundaries of what is possible in the second hand industry. Ultimately, your expertise in research must do more than just contribute to knowledge – you must also be skilled at driving a measurable positive impact on the product and business.
Strong understanding of usability and user experience principles
Expert understanding of qualitative user research methodologies, their benefits, costs, time frames and suitability to different stages of product development lifecycle, as well as a good grounding in quantitative methods
Be the driving force of user research by identifying research needs of the teams that leads to planning, defining, conducting and reporting findings of all conducted research
Working with product teams to ensure that user data / research findings are incorporated into design and implementation (in an iterative manner, from first concepts through to release and after)
Making sure that the findings of user and market research help inform the business strategy, engineering / product road maps and data analytics team
Ability to work closely with data analytics team to synthesise both the quantitative data provided by them with the qualitative data from UX to form strong hypothesis for design, research and engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands on management and planning with external vendors doing UX research for usability to work in an Agile, lean environment with quick iterative research
Work with Design leadership to plan and implement initiatives which cultivate a strong design culture & community
Work with Design leadership to identify skills growth opportunities. Plan, coordinate and, if needed, execute training
Work with Design leadership to craft, refine, implement, and communicate design vision and strategy across the organization
Develop relationships with other colleagues in product, engineering, and business to ensure a smooth operational process
5+ years of professional UX Research experience
You have working experience leading, building, and/or maintaining a Knowledge Repository.
Working experience in highly collaborative environments with other UX designers, researchers, product owners and engineers
